The Vice-Chairman and the Managing Director of the real estate group IREO, Lalit Goyal has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Friday, considering a money-laundering investigation against him.
As per the reports, Lalit Goyal was stopped by the immigration authorities at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in Delhi on Thursday, in accordance with an ED lookout circular. “Since his detention at the airport, we have been questioning him. He was appearing before ED everyday for interrogation but has been evading questions. Since he has not been cooperating, he had to be put under arrest,” a senior ED official said.

Lalit Goyal is a Real estate business tycoon and also the co-founder/ Managing Director of IREO. Before being associated with IREO, Lalit Goyal has worked with Pergo AB and Wimco Ltd. Lalit Goyal received his education from Delhi College of Engineering.
