Xiaomi’s another budget smartphone Redmi 8A is being launched in India today. This smartphone will be challenged with the Vivo U10 launched in India tomorrow. Even before the launch of Redmi 8A, the company has announced to sell its previous model at a lower price. Users will be able to buy Redmi 7A at the festive sale starting from September 29 for Rs 4,999. This smartphone was also launched in India this year. The launch event of Redmi 8A will be streamed live on the company’s official social media platform and Youtube today. The company has been teasing its smartphone on the e-commerce website for the past few days. According to the features that have come out of this smartphone so far, it will also have a strong battery and USB Type C port for fast charging.
The company’s Global Vice President Manu Jain has also talked about having USB Type C charging jack in its official tweeter handle. However, there is no official disclosure about any other features of the phone at the moment. According to its promo tees, HD Plus display with Waterdrop Notch will be given in it. Apart from this, it can also be launched with a physical fingerprint sensor and camera set up with single rear Sony IMX363 sensor. The company has been designing its series specifically for entry-level users. All the previous models of this series have been well liked by the users.
Its previous model Redmi 7A was launched this year with HD Plus display, dual rear camera and physical fingerprint sensor. This smartphone was launched at an initial price of Rs 5,999. Redmi 8A can also be launched at a price of Rs 6,999. Apart from this, Android 9 Pie operating system based on MIUI 10 can be given.
