It is joyous news for the users who are facing many problems like data leaks. Telecom and IT company Reliance Jio have entered into a long-term partnership with the US leading technology company Microsoft. Under this partnership, data of Indian users will be stored in India only. The company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced this at Reliance’s 42nd AGM meeting.
Ambani said during the meeting that, I am proud to announce that Jio and Microsoft have created a unique globally long term plan, in which the country will be digitally transformed. Under this new partnership, Reliance will set up a world-class data center network that will work with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
Ambani further said, when we have come together, we can create a platform with speech recognition, natural language understanding, and Indian languages in India. As a result, the Azure cloud computing business will grow in India. Apart from this, Microsoft Azure Artificial Intelligence and Office 365 will get support for Jio connectivity and digital solution. Together, we will create a comprehensive technology solution that will help small and medium-sized businesses in the country’s storage connectivity and productivity.
Reliance Jio and Microsoft talked about opening new data centers in India. Due to these new data centers, Reliance Jio users will be able to develop tools and platforms according to their digital capability. This new partnership of these two companies will give Jio users complete access to Office 365.
Apart from this partnership, Reliance Jio cloud technology and connectivity will be made available for free. Those start-ups who want to use this service can register by visiting the official website of Jio. Jio’s Internet of Things service will be rolled out commercially from 1 January 2020. This initiative of Reliance Jio and Microsoft will give a boost to the Digital India Mission of the Central Government.
