Road Safety World Series T20 2020-21: In the first semi-final match of the Road Safety World Series T20 tournament, India Legends scored 218 for 3 in 20 overs, batting first against the West Indies Legends. Every batsman played an important role in helping Team India reach this big score, but captain and team opener batsman Sachin Tendulkar and middle order batsman Yuvraj Singh played the most powerful innings.
On the basis of this innings of Sachin and Yuvraj, India Legends defeated the West Indies Legends by 12 runs and reached the final of the Road Safety World Series T20 tournament. The West Indies team managed to score 206 for 6 in 20 overs in response to India’s 218 runs and were eliminated from the final.
Yuvi scored 49 runs with the help of six sixes, then Sachin played 65 runs.
India had a great start against the West Indies and Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag gave the team a great start. There was a strong 56-run partnership between the two for the first wicket and Sehwag was then dismissed for 35 runs. Sehwag scored 35 runs off 17 balls with the help of a six and 5 fours. Sachin then shared a 31-run partnership with Yusuf Pathan for the third wicket and then India’s third wicket in the form of Sachin. Sachin played a brilliant half-century innings of 65 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 6 fours. Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh shared an unbeaten 78-run partnership for the fourth wicket, taking the team’s score to 218. Yusuf Pathan scored an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 2 fours, while Yuvraj Singh again played a stormy innings and scored an unbeaten 49 off 20 balls with the help of 6 sixes and one four.
Half-century of Dwayne Smith and Narsingh Deonarine did not work
India was given a target of 219 runs for victory by West Indies team, but this team could not reach this score. For the West Indies, team opener Dwayne Smith scored 63 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 9 fours from 36 balls, while Narasimha also scored 59 runs from 44 balls, but this was not enough for the team. Although captain Brian Lara also made a good effort by scoring an innings of 46 off 28 balls, his team’s dream of reaching the final was shattered.
