Bollywood Hungama reports say that Rohit Shetty and Suryavanshi’s co-producer Reliance Entertainment have asked for some changes with the multiplex regarding the release of Suryavanshi. The talks are currently underway on the release of Suryavanshi
Meanwhile, the website quoted sources as saying that Rohit Shetty has demanded a share of 70 percent of the revenue to release Suryavanshi in theaters.
That is, the filmmakers have asked for 70% of the revenue after the release of Suryavanshi.
Before the Corona era, when the situation was normal, filmmakers or distributors usually used to get a 50 percent share on any film.
But the Suryavanshi makers have placed a big bet in front of the multiplex ones.
Not only this, the second condition of the filmmakers to release Suryavanshi in theaters is that Suryavanshi should be released on OTT within 4 weeks after its release in theaters.
That is, Rohit Shetty wants Suryavanshi to be released on OTT as soon as possible. Otherwise, it usually happens that rights are given to release on OTT within 8 weeks.
Will the owners agree to Rohit Shetty’s demand
In the same report, quoting sources, it has also been said that multiplex owners have found this demand of Suryavanshi makers completely unwarranted.
This demand is also not correct according to the format as of now. Now it will have to be seen how Rohit Shetty gets his demands if such news comes outright.
