The wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has provided a helpline number with his followers so they may leave messages for the AAP leader, who has been detained by the Enforcement Directorate since last week.
Sunita, Arvind Kejriwal Wife launches WhatsApp campaign
“We are launching the ‘Kejriwal ko Aashirvaad’ campaign today. He can receive your prayers and blessings by WhatsApp at 8297324624. In a video message, Sunita Kejriwal stated, “You can send any message you want.”
She claimed that a lot of people had called her to express their fast for the release of Mr. Kejriwal.
“Look at how much love he has.” Send us anything you would like to share. He will receive all of your messages, and he will enjoy reading them all. To write to him, you do not have to be an AAP member,” the Chief Minister’s spouse continued.
Following her husband’s incarceration, Ms. Kejriwal used video messages to speak with AAP supporters directly.
Yesterday, Mr. Kejriwal called the case against him a “political conspiracy” as he was being led into court. Reporters were informed by his spouse outside the court that he is not doing well while under ED custody.
“Right now, his health is not good. I am the harasser of your Chief Minister. Following the court’s decision to extend his ED custody until April 1, she stated, “The public will respond appropriately to this.”
Following Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, Mr. Kejriwal was the third AAP politician to be arrested in connection with the purported liquor policy scandal on March 21.
According to the ED, the now-canceled programme gave retailers and wholesalers a substantial profit margin of around 185% and 12%, respectively. The agency believes that part of the wholesalers’ cut was recovered as bribes and used to finance the AAP’s Goa election campaign.
Imprisoned Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, made a significant allegation on Thursday over the AAP leader’s treatment while in the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) custody. She said that the leader is experiencing frequent harassment and that his health is failing.
Conversely, the Delhi High Court dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on the same day, stating that Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest did not preclude him from serving as chief minister while incarcerated.
The events transpired on the same day that a Delhi court decided to prolong the chief minister’s extradition to the ED till April 1, citing the agency’s “sufficient reasons,” including the requirement that he be presented with gathered evidence and recorded remarks, to allow for more prison questioning.
In court, Kejriwal claimed that the ED’s “two main motives” were to destroy his Aam Aadmi Party and label it corrupt, and that the “actual” excise scam began following the probe rather than when the policy was created.
