Serum Institute released covishield ‘s rate Serum Institute of India, the manufacturer of the covishield vaccine, has released a list of new prices. In this, prices have been kept separately for private hospitals and government hospitals. Private hospitals will get the Corona vaccine of Serum Institute for Rs 600, while the government hospitals will have to pay Rs 400 for one dose. Currently, the Government of India controls the sale and purchase of all vaccines in the country.
In a statement issued by the Serum Institute of India, it is stated that following the instructions of the Government of India, we are announcing the prices of the Serum Institute released covishield ‘s rate. The price per dose will be Rs 400 for state governments and Rs 600 for private hospitals.

Apart from this, the Serum Institute of India has also claimed that the covishield copy is cheaper than the Corona vaccine sold abroad. According to the Serum Institute, the cost of the American vaccine is 1500 rupees per dose, while that of the Russian and Chinese vaccines is Rs 750-750 per dose.
