A legal notice has been served to the creators of the Tamil film Amaran by VV Vaageesan, an engineering student from Chennai, demanding Rs 1.1 crore in damages. Vaageesan claims that his personal mobile number was displayed without authorization in the film, leading to severe disruptions in his daily life.

Amaran, released on October 31, 2024, stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. Following its release, Vaageesan began receiving a flood of phone calls from viewers who mistakenly believed that the number shown in the film belonged to actress Sai Pallavi.

Initially perplexed by the influx of calls from people wanting to speak with Sai Pallavi, Vaageesan soon discovered that his personal mobile number had been prominently featured in the film. The unexpected exposure caused continuous disturbances, with calls coming in around the clock.

After unsuccessfully trying to contact director Rajkumar Periyasamy and actor Sivakarthikeyan via social media to resolve the issue, Vaageesan decided to take legal action. His legal representative has issued a formal demand for the removal of his phone number from the film, as well as compensation for the emotional distress and inconvenience caused.

The production team and director have yet to respond to the legal notice, and Vaageesan continues to receive persistent calls from the public. His legal team is pressing for a swift resolution to the matter.
