Tejashwi Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav

There are three famous proverbs frequently used in politics. The first is, ‘The enemy of the enemy is a friend’, the second is, ‘There is no permanent friend or enemy in politics. And the third is, ‘Politics is a game of possibilities.

The way Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav is inviting Lok Janshakti Party MP Chirag Paswan to come along these days, that effort seems to be a perfect example of these proverbs.

Chirag Paswan, who made a scathing attack on Nitish Kumar and blamed him for the split in his party, has also expressed his displeasure over the apathy of the BJP about himself in the past.

Chirag Paswan has not yet announced to break ties with BJP and NDA. Neither has accepted Tejashwi Yadav’s offer, he has described Tejashwi Yadav as ‘younger brother’ and has also expressed that there is a ‘communication between the two’.

Stunning offer

Tejashwi has once again offered to change the series of dialogues together.

According to news agency PTI, Tejashwi Yadav has said that Chirag Paswan can carry forward the legacy of his father Ram Vilas Paswan only if he ‘becomes a part of the struggle against the ideology of RSS’.

Describing Ram Vilas Paswan as a ‘Dalit messiah’, Tejashwi has said that his party will “remember his contribution to the state on the day of Paswan’s birth anniversary”.

Chirag Paswan has also announced that he will start ‘Aashirvad Yatra’ on Ram Vilas Paswan’s birthday (July 5).

Lok Janshakti Party was formed by Ram Vilas Paswan. Paswan was a minister in the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. He handed over the command of the party to his son Chirag Paswan.

Even after the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, the Lok Janshakti Party remained a part of the NDA, but during the Bihar Assembly elections, the party did not contest with the NDA. During the election, Chirag Paswan supported BJP but made a scathing attack on Bihar Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar.
