There are two groups in Super 12 West Indies Australia, England, South Africa and Australia are in Group 1 and India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan are in Group 2.The tournament was supposed to held in India, but because of was Covid-19 situation in India it moved to the UAE. ICC T20 World Cup will be played in UAE and Oman from October 17.
The group of Super 12 has been selected on the ideaof team ranking till 20 March 2021. Two teams from each group will join the qualifying round. Eight teams will play within the first round, including automatically qualified Sri Lankaand Bangladesh, while six others have confirmed their places within the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019. Ireland, Netherlands and Namibia will join Sri Lanka in Group A while Oman, PNG and Scotland will take on Bangladesh in Group B.

“It is good to get Oman in the frame of world cricket with the hosting of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. It will help a lot of young players take an interest in the game. We know it will be a world class event in this part of the world,” BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said.
