According to India newspaper, Northern Command chief Lieutenant General Joshi said during a conversation with reporters in Leh that the situation arose in the Kailash range of Ladakh in late August in the year 2020 India and China.

In fact, the Peace and Harmony Committee of the Delhi Assembly had in February last year issued summons to Facebook chief Ajit Mohan in India regarding the role of social networking portal in the communal riots in north-east Delhi.
