He said that due to strict lockdown, corona cases have come down, but we have to bring it down to zero. He has also informed that 1200 beds will be provided to Delhi in the next 1-2 days.
In a digital press conference on Friday, Arvind Kejriwal said that the situation in Delhi is constantly improving. On April 22, the rate of corona infected reached 36 percent, now it has come down to 12 percent. Within three days, about three thousand beds in hospitals have become empty. However ICU beds are still lacking. The number of serious patients has also not decreased. We have prepared 1200 new ICU beds. It will start in a couple of days. To improve the situation, we imposed a very strict lockdown, which the people of Delhi also followed seriously. The result of his disciplined conduct is that the situation is getting better.

Many children are orphaned and many are left alone. All these need not be disturbed. I am there. Neither the education and upbringing of such children will stop, nor will such elders face any problem of maintenance. The government will provide all their financial help.

Earlier on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia wrote a letter to the Central Government seeking to reduce the Corona infection rate in the capital Delhi and reduce the oxygen quota in Delhi if the patients are less in hospitals. Sisodia told a digital press conference that the rate of corona infection in Delhi increased sharply in the fourth week of April and the first week of May. From 80 thousand to one lakh tests were done daily and 27–28 thousand new corona cases were reported daily, the rate of infection had reached 32 percent.
