New Delhi. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said that with the further weakening of the ‘tau tay’ cyclone, moderate rainfall is expected in different parts of North India including Delhi-NCR in the next two days. Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the local center of the department, said that there has been rain in southern Rajasthan as the toute moves towards north India.

Srivastava said, “Tomorrow it will reach parts of Rajasthan and Haryana. Due to this, there will be moderate rainfall in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR. Heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of Delhi.

The department has issued an ‘Orange’ warning for the National Capital Region on Wednesday. It has also forecast rain and winds at speeds of 50-60 kmph. Western disturbances are also affected in North India and both are expected to rain due to seasonal activities. The state has received heavy rains after the Toute cyclone knocked off the coast of Gujarat on Monday night. Earlier this cyclone had affected the entire west coast.
