Tokyo: India’s first gold medal at Tokyo Paralympics. Avani Lekhara was awarded the gold medal in women’s shooting at 10m. He became the first Indian woman to win a shooting gold medal. He reached the final after scoring 621.7 in his previous qualifying round. India has so far won two silver and one gold medals at Tokyo Paralympics.

It is well-known that Bhavinaben, a TT player, won the silver medal. Bhavina became the first woman to win a table tennis medal. Deepa Malik won silver in the women’s shot throw at Rio Paralympics 2016.
