Security forces encountered two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. Security forces came to know that both the hiding terrorists were local. The terrorists were firing on security forces and police official and did not lay down their arms. The security forces called the families of both the terrorists to the encounter site and asked them to persuade their children to give up their weapons. Both the terrorists agreed to surrender on the appeal of their family and relatives.
Terrorists decision to surrender belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba was highly appreciated by the security forces and police officials. He also assured the families that all help would be given to bring both of them back in the mainstream. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the encounter site.

Surrender of Terrorist
Search operation was carried out by the security forces afterthey comne to know about the hiding of two terrorists in Hadigam of district Kulgam. When security personnel approached the terrorists, they started firing on the security forces and security forces also fired in retaliation. The security forces appealed to them to lay down their arms, but they did not agree despite repeated requests, their families were called to the encounter site. On the appeal of family, both the terrorists agreed to lay down their weapons.
Both of the terrorist had recently joined the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization. Leaving their weapons at the encounter site, the terrorists came out and surrendered to the security forces. Police officials say that many important information related to Lashkar terrorism can be obtained from the arrest of these two and reason behind joining organization.
