On Thursday, the court gave its decision in this case and said that Arthur Road Jail of Mumbai would be fine for them. Till then Nirav Modi will be kept in custody. The court has also rejected his bail plea.
Due to the corona lockdown, Nirav Modi appeared in the court through video link. Nirav Modi was wearing a black jacket and his beard was also enlarged. He was seen listening to the decision in front of the judge with utmost seriousness.
Justice Samuel Goozy said that he should answer the allegations against Nirav Modi in India.
The judge said, “prima facie this case is related to money fraud”. The court accepted the plea of the Indian side and said that the witnesses in this case have been seduced and the evidence has been tampered with.
The judge said, “It does not appear that Nirav Modi will commit suicide. The court is sure that even if he is extradited to India he will be able to present his case. It does not seem that he will not get justice if he is extradited to India.”
Accepting the plea of the Government of India, he said that the court is confident about his safety in jail.
The court said, “Room 12 (barrack number 12) of Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai is fine for them. It is a big room in which they will get a bed, a bathroom, the room also lights up.”
“Jails are said to have a large number of prisoners,
but the barrack number of Arthur Road Jail is 12 twenty feet long and 15 feet wide,
it has fan and tubelights too. So don’t get mosquitoes here once a week The medicine is also sprayed. ”
The judge said, “It can be seen in the video court that was presented in the court in August 2020 that there is a good system of cleanliness and defecation.”
The judge rejected Nirav Modi’s mental health argument,
saying that in his situation any person’s mental condition can be like this.
Although the court has said that even after this order, if Nirav Modi wants, he can appeal again in the UK court. The court says that the charges against them should be heard in India.

“The case against Nirav Modi shows that there is good cooperation between the British authorities and the Indian authorities.
both sides want that the accused cannot escape justice by fleeing to any other country.”
