Vedaant Madhavan born on August 21, 2005 ( age 19 years) in Mumbai as he developed into a promising Indian swimming athlete who brought nationwide and international fame through his swimming performance. Being the child of Indian actor R. Madhavan and fashion designer Sarita Birje Vedaant has established his own sports career through hard work and natural ability.
Vedaant Madhavan Age, Early Life and Education
Vedaant Madhavan age is 19 years old as of now. During his educational time Vedaant developed his enthusiasm for swimming. His education took place at the Universal American School in Dubai which allowed him to discover swimming as his deep interest. When he returned to India he began further training at the Goregaon Sports Club in Mumbai and later received professional coaching and competitive swimming experience by joining Glenmark Aquatic Foundation in 2017.
Vedaant Swimming Career and Achievements
Vedaant joined competitive swimming internationally when he competed in the Thailand Age Group Championships of 2018 and won the bronze medal during the 1500-meter freestyle race. The top performance at this event signified the start of his successful swimming career.
During the 47th Junior National Aquatic Championships in Bengaluru Vedaant competed for Maharashtra and brought home seven medals consisting of four silver and three bronze prizes from his races in 800m freestyle and 1500m freestyle and relay events.
Vedaant secured five gold medals as he competed at the Malaysian Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships which took place in Kuala Lumpur during the subsequent year. His competition achievements included two personal bests while he won all races from the 50m to 400m and 1500m freestyle events.
At the Khelo India Youth Games in 2023 Vedaant achieved excellent results by winning both seven medals consisting of five gold and two silver medals from free-style competitions. At the Commonwealth Youth Games he earned 5th place in 1500m freestyle while carrying the Indian flag as flag bearer during the competition.

Vedaant Madhavan Personal Life as Son Of R. Madhavan
Vedaant is the only child of R. Madhavan and Sarita Birje. R. Madhavan who achieved recognition as an Indian cinema actor is Vedaant’s father along with his mother Sarita who runs a fashion design business in Austria. Since his family members work in entertainment Vedaant decided to concentrate on swimming as his athletic career path.
Future Aspirations
The young athlete trains methodically at present with goals to join the Indian Olympic team as well as take part in international sports events. Through his dedicated performance he has established himself as a promising athlete in the field of swimming for India.
