New Delhi, ANI. Delhi and its surrounding areas have been raining since Friday morning. Apart from this, rains are also continuing in Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted in the morning that Delhi and its surrounding areas would receive light to moderate rainfall during the next two hours. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had said that there is a possibility of heavy rains with thunder and hail at different places in Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh on 5 and 6 March.
Unseasonal rains in Gujarat
People were surprised by Gujarat when unseasonal rains started in many parts of the state on Thursday evening. Rainfall occurred in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Anand, Porbandar, Dwarka and many other parts of the state.
Heavy snowfall in Kashmir, Himachal, Ladakh
According to weather information agency skymetweather, seasonal activities have increased during the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. According to the information, many parts of Jammu and Kashmir are raining with snowfall. Along with this, many parts of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh are also seeing thunderstorms.
Skymet had already forecast an increase in seasonal activity in the hill states of North India from 6 March. The agency forecast that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, both Union Territories of North India, including Gulmarg, Kulgam, Pahalgam, Srinagar, Kargil, Leh, would receive good rainfall and snowfall. Similarly, Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti, Bilaspur, Chamba, Mussoorie, Nainital, Uttarkashi including Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand were also said to receive good rainfall and snowfall.
