Prashant also has experience in making web series before. Earlier, she made an indie comedy in the year 2015. Prashant was also among the directors of this year’s best web series. The series on the gift case is based on a book titled ‘Trial by fire the tragic tale of the gift fire tragedy’. This book has been written by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamurthy.
The book by Neelam and Shekhar is based on the Aankh Dekhi of the 1997 gift cinema tragedy. Both the couples fought for justice in this case for 19 years. A total of 59 people died in this incident, Krishnamurthy couple’s children Unnati and Ujjwal Samate. Regarding this series, this couple says that we hope that through this, the horror of the gift cinema scandal and the struggle for justice will come out.
Let me tell you that on June 13, 1997, there was a fire during the telecast of Sunny Deol starrer film Border in Delhi’s Ujjain Cinema. A total of 59 people were killed in it. With this, charges were framed against 12 people, including total modesty and Gopal Ansal. In March 2014, the accused were sentenced to two years with a fine of 30 crore each.
