Andy Jassy, the CEO of Amazon, has confirmed layoffs. Jassy announced that layoffs would affect more than 18000 workers, many of them were from India.

Previous rumours said that Amazon may fire up to 1000 workers in India from a variety of areas, including tech, human resources, and others.

Many impacted employees have used social media sites like LinkedIn and Twitter to publicise that they have been laid off and are looking for new opportunities as Amazon's layoffs start.

The affected employees have received an email from Amazon company alerting them that they have been let go.

There have been numerous of workers "crying in office" after listening the news of company lay-offs.

The tech company has also cancelled full-time work offers, leaving the applicant without any employment at all.

Recently, Meta confirmed cancelling full-time offers and made a hint that hiring will be slowed during 2023.

Many firms in the technology, IT, and other sectors are in the midst of layoffs. Numerous factors, such as the economic crisis and excessive hiring, are likely to have an effect on thousands of jobs.
