The match scheduled for Sunday will not include Team India's veteran all-rounder Hardik Pandya. He had to leave the field during the most recent game against Bangladesh owing to an injury.

Pandya will now receive medical care at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru before joining Team India in Lucknow for the October 29 match between India and England.

Hardik Pandya appeared to twist his ankle while attempting to intercept a shot with his foot during his follow through during his first over, the ninth of Bangladesh's innings.

He was taken for scans, did not participate further in the game, and would receive the perfect treatment at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru so that he can re join the team for next match.

Hardik Pandya is perhaps the most indispensable and irreplacable member in the India team, aside from Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, due to the all-around role he plays.

The player who is most irreplaceable is perhaps Hardik Pandya. India's lineup against New Zealand will have to change because there isn't a like-for-like replacement available.

Only two members of Team India's have yet to be given the opportunity to play in a single game. These players are Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav.
