The history textbooks for classes 11 and 12 will no longer include certain chapters of history, according to NCERT.

Students in classes 11 and 12 will no longer read historical chapters about the Mughal court and its kings.

Courses on the industrial revolution, the birth of Islam, clashes of cultures, and the dawn of time are being dropped from the class 11 curriculum.

At the same time, the civics textbook is being revised to remove the lessons on American supremacy and the Cold War.

The class 12th book "Themes of Indian History" chapter "Kings and Chronicles: The Mughal Court" is being dropped from the curriculum.

Also, the class will no longer cover the chapters "Central Islamic Countries," "Confrontation of Cultures," and "The Islamic Revolution."

Lessons on gender equality will now be included in NCERT's publications. The textbooks will also undergo extensive revisions.
