On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate a model of the proposed Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose memorial.
In Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a model will be unveiled to mark the 126th anniversary of the independence fighter's birth.
On Ross Island, which was renamed Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep in 2018, the intended memorial will be built.
In addition to a restaurant lounge, it will have a museum, a cable car ropeway, a guided heritage tour through old buildings, and a children's theme park.
The speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the country would come after the model's virtual inauguration.
The PM will take part in a ceremony to honour Param Vir Chakra by renaming 21 uninhabited islands in the union territory.
Notably, Union Home Minister Amit Shah landed in Port Blair on Sunday evening for a two-day visit to the archipelago.
Along with reviewing development efforts, he will speak at a public gathering in honour of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's 126th birthday.
At the same location where the freedom fighter raised the Tricolor on December 30, 1943, Amit Shah is expected to hoist the national flag during the day at Netaji Stadium.
