In Mewar, Rajasthan, on May 9, 1540, Maharana Pratap was born. The eldest child of Maharani Jaywanta Bai and Udai Singh II, Pratap was born into Rajput aristocracy.

He was a superb warrior with advanced knowledge of military tactics. Mewar was shielded by Maharana Pratap from several Mughal assaults.

He never gave up on his Baan, Shaan, or Aan. Despite the challenging circumstances, she persisted. Because of this, no one's bravery can compare to that of Maharana Pratap.

Maharana Pratap and Mughal Emperor Akbar fought each other in Haldi Ghati in 1576. Maharana Pratap struggled for independence for several years with the support of his 20,000 warriors.

This conflict reportedly continued for longer than three hours. Maharana was wounded in this battle, yet he escaped the Mughals' grasp.

Together with few allies, Maharana Pratap fled into the woods where he continued to battle while subsisting on forest roots and tubers. From here, Maharana once more began gathering the army.

According to legend, Maharana Pratap had 11 queens, the most important of which was Ajbde Panwar. Out of his 17 sons, Amar Singh succeeded his father as Maharana Pratap.
