Shahid Kapoor has now been around for 20 years. Although he has been background dancing and performing on stage for longer, the boyish and bright-eyed actor made his acting debut in Ishq Vishk, 2003.

Shahid, the son of veteran actors Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem, initially stuck to mainstream selections until the performances in Jab We Met showed the performer in new and varied lighting.

His filmography has been challenging to track down ever since. There is a typical Shahid Kapoor performance — unyielding and messy — but there isn't a typical Shahid Kapoor movie.

His films Haider (2014) and Udta Punjab (2016) won over reviewers, and he then used Kabir Singh (2019) to bait them. His career began to take off in increments.

Shahid successfully transitioned to OTT earlier this year with the extensive Raj & DK series Farzi. Bloody Daddy, an action thriller directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, his newest movie, will release on OTT

Shahid plays a drug officer who must take on the Gurugram cartel when they kidnap his son. Kamal Haasan earlier starred in a Tamil remake of the movie titled Thoongaa Vanam (2015).
