Virat Kohli, a former captain of India and current player for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), was identified as the second-richest athlete in Asia and the richest cricket player in the world.

With earnings of approximately Rs 277 crore, Kohli placed 61st in 2022, according to the survey. No other cricket player appeared in the Top 100 of the list that was made public last year.

Naomi Osaka, a tennis player and previous US Open champion, earned the most money in Asian sports. A different source claims that Kohli's net worth has increased to Rs 1,040 crore.

The Indian batsman makes over Rs 15 crore from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise in the IPL after scoring his 29th Test century in the second Test against the West Indies last week.

For each Test match, ODI, and T20I he plays in, Kohli is paid Rs 15 lakh, Rs 6 lakh, and Rs 3 lakh respectively.

Not to forget, Kohli receives Rs 7 crore year under his 'A+' deal with the Board for Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
