Azhar Iqubal, the co-founder and CEO of Inshorts, has joined the Shark Tank India 3 panel of sharks, adding to the enthusiasm around the reality show.

Only a few days had passed since Deepinder Goyal and Ritesh Agarwal had been introduced when Shark Tank India's founders revealed that Azhar Iqubal would be joining the panel.

The creators of Shark Tank India announced this via a teaser that featured Azhar Iqubal, co-founder and CEO of Inshorts, along with the caption, "The word is out, presenting the newest Shark.

The Noida-based business, which began as a Facebook page, is today valued at Rs 3700 crore. Azhar Iqubal later founded Public, a successful social network firm, in 2019.

Iqubal left the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi (IIT) in 2013 and worked alongside other IIT Delhi alums Deepit Purkayastha and Anunay Arunav.

They establish the News in Shorts Facebook page, which later develops into the well-known news aggregator Inshorts.
