Many of individuals use WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging platforms in India, to text or video contact their loved ones.

Also, the company updates existing features or adds new ones practically monthly to enhance customer privacy and app performance.

For its users on iOS, Android, and the web, WhatsApp included picture-in-picture mode, media forwarding with captions, the ability to message oneself, and more in its most recent software update.

A new feature that would enable users to modify messages is being developed, according to Wabetainfo, a website that records all the most recent upgrades to WhatsApp.

According to the source, WhatsApp is planning to provide message editing functionality in upcoming software versions.

Also, it was disclosed that users will be able to alter any sent message within 15 minutes of the time restriction using the new edit message tool.

This will enable users to correct any errors in the message or supplement the original message with new information.

WhatsApp, however, currently enables users to erase any message that has been sent to everyone. When one wants to amend a message rather than deleting it entirely, the new capability will be helpful.

However, the feature will only work with the most recent version of WhatsApp and will only permit message editing. It won't allow you to alter media captions.

The function is still being developed for iOS users, but it should be made available for beta testing soon. And users will soon use this update.
