The Asia Pacific Coconut Community first celebrated this day in 2009. There has been no turning back since then. APCC collaborates with UN-ESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific). APCC continues to emphasize its versatility and play an important role in maintaining our health.

India celebrates this day with great enthusiasm. This is promoted by the Coconut Development Board in several states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu Karnataka and Karnataka.
