World Hemophilia Day 2021 The bleeding process stops with first aid if a general injury occurs, but it does not happen to many people, it means that they do not stop bleeding, it is actually due to the problem of hemophilia. Which is a serious problem and is seen in most men. So let’s know every important information related to it.
History of World Haemophilia Day
World Haemophilia Day was started on 17 April 1989 by the World Federation of Haemophilia. It was chosen to commemorate the birthday of Frank Schnabel’s founder, World Federation of Haemophilia (WFH). The disease was discovered in the 10th century, when people started taking the disease seriously. At that time the disease was known as Abulcasis. And the disease mostly occurred in European royal families and was treated with aspirin which led to blood thinning and worsening of the situation. Then, in 1803, Dr. John Conrad Otto of Philadelphia began studying people named “bleeders” and said that it was a hereditary disease that was caused by children from his mother.
Major reason
In the normal state, a certain type of protein present in the blood gets activated immediately upon cutting or injury. Due to this, the process of blood clotting starts after such an accident and the blood flow stops in a short time. When there is a deficiency of this element in a person’s body due to any genetic reason, the same condition is called hemophilia and in such a situation it becomes very difficult to stop the bleeding.
Theme of World Haemophilia Day 2021
